“Healing happens in community, nature, culture & the dismantling of oppressive systems.”

I’m Victoria, psychotherapist and owner of Shared Stories Counseling, LLC located in Wellesley Massachusetts. My hope is to support you while you identify your goals, deepen your understanding of your values, and work to take your power back from problems that try to get in your way through EMDR and Narrative Therapy.

Since beginning my clinical training in 2015, I have developed a great sense of gratitude for my ability to do this work. After receiving my MSW and LICSW, I have been able to care for individuals in community, hospital and private practice settings who have been affected by complex trauma including childhood trauma, sexual exploitation and trafficking, racial trauma, immigration-related trauma among asylum seekers, medical trauma, depression, anxiety, panic and phobias.

Since opening Shared Stories Counseling in 2021, I’ve come to realize how few resources are available for those experiencing higher levels of dissociation after complex relational trauma. Because of this unmet need, I have since committed to ongoing training, education and consultation that allows me to specialize in this area and offer accessible care for those with C-PTSD and dissociative disorders.

I also think it’s important for you to know what your therapist stands for in order to determine for yourself if the relationship can feel safe for you. Overall, my stance as a clinician is rooted in social justice, feminist, intersectional and decolonized frameworks. I am committed to building affirming, non-judgmental and culturally responsive relationships with all of my clients. It’s particularly important to me to commit to the on-going learning and unlearning needed to offer safe and effective care for those within LGBTQIA+, Immigrant and BIPOC communities.

What else?

Outside of work I’m usually cuddling or training my two pups, cheering on the Celtics, reading, quilting, attending live comedy shows, exploring local beaches, and trying out new vegan recipes.

I look forward to learning about you as well!
