All members will complete a free 20 minute individual screening session with Victoria prior to the start of the group to determine together if the group is a good fit.

Club Goals:

  1. Expand our knowledge of Polyvagal Theory and how our nervous systems are impacted by trauma and chronic stress

  2. Zoom out to externalize problems that we struggle to feel separate from

  3. Understand what systems of oppression, relationships and daily stressors are convincing us that we (and our nervous systems) are the problem… and how to respond

  4. Learn to stand against anxiety, irritability, dissociation, and disconnection through trauma-informed grounding techniques

  5. Improve sense of mental and physical safety needed to reconnect with our surroundings, our loved ones, and ourselves

Why Group Therapy?

Trauma, emotional pain and chronic stress often lead to isolation. Group therapy breaks that cycle. In our supportive Nervous System Club you’ll realize:

You’re not alone in your struggles, your voice matters, and healing can happen in relationship, not just in silence

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Group therapy is offered virtually via video calls on a HIPAA complaint software.

  • While individual therapy focuses on one-on-one work, group therapy offers the added benefit of peer interaction. You can gain different perspectives, feel less alone in your struggles, and practice new ways of relating to others in a supportive environment.

  • Yes. Confidentiality is essential and deeply respected. All group members agree to keep what’s shared in the group private. As the therapist, I also maintain confidentiality in accordance with professional ethical standards and legal guidelines.

  • That’s completely normal. Many people feel anxious at first. You’re never required to share more than you’re comfortable with. Most members find that once they start listening and feel accepted, it becomes easier to participate at their own pace.
